Kiersten M. Idzorek
Kiersten is an attorney with Pauly, DeVries Smith & Deffner, LLC practicing patent prosecution. In her undergraduate studies in chemistry at the University of St. Thomas, Kiersten focused on X-ray crystallography to research solid-state chemistry of benzonitrile oxides. Her experience as a research assistant allowed her to synthesize large amounts of data and draft technically complex research papers in a clear and concise manner.
While working towards her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, Kiersten demonstrated her interest in the intellectual property field being treasurer of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association, participating in the Trademark Clinic, and successfully competing in moot court and patent drafting competitions, receiving first place at the USPTO National Patent Drafting Competition and placing in the semifinals at the national rounds of the Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Competition.
As an attorney with Pauly, DeVries Smith & Deffner, LLC, Kiersten prepares and prosecutes patent applications, performs patentability and freedom to operate searches, drafts legal memoranda, and performs competitive landscape analyses.
