Mitchell R. Williams

Mitch is an intellectual property engineer with Pauly, DeVries Smith and Deffner, LLC. Mitch has experience in many different technical areas including audio equipment, electronics, manufacturing, and medical devices. Prior to joining our firm, Mitch interned at Bosch Security Systems where he designed electromechanical systems to test prototype headsets at different stages of development. His time there gave him a first-hand appreciation for the many factors influencing engineering design decisions.

Mitch earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He was a member of the Gopher Motorsports team, where he was involved in the ground-up design and construction of a race car. His coursework in fluid power, ventilation, renewable energy, and other arts was focused on the industrial application of technology, and gave him a practical understanding of design.  Mitch was also involved with a FIRST Robotics team where he designed and manufactured components and subsystems of competitive robots.

Outside of work you can find Mitch at air shows as he is a private pilot and loves increasing his knowledge of aviation.
