Katherine S. Boyle

Katy Boyle is a registered patent attorney with a background in both patent prosecution and patent litigation. Katy has prepared and prosecuted patents in a wide range of fields, including medical devices, consumer electronics, computer software, and mechanical devices.

During law school, Katy worked in-house as a legal intern for Medtronic and completed a federal court externship with Magistrate Judge Becky Thorson. She also served as a Notes & Comments Editor for Cybaris®, an Intellectual Property Law Review, in which she co-wrote an article about how businesses can strategically maximize the value of their intellectual property portfolios.

Before law school, Katy worked as a patent agent at Beck & Tysver PLLC, and as a science advisor in Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi’s patent litigation department.
